Children's Ministry
Exciting Things Are Happening in TVC's Children's Ministry! TVC Kids (Preschool - 5th Grade) We love our TVC Kids!!! What a privilege it is to partner with families each week, encouraging young worshippers. We want TVC to be our kid’s favorite place, that's why we have created a unique curriculum just for them! Our interactive service helps kids learn His word, experience passionate worship, and learn that loving & serving others is not only important, but fun too. We are a creative bunch, so we use music, art, dance, drama, games, and great books to communicate bible stories and principles. We use a live it & learn it approach. Helping a child see how each concept applies to their personal lives, helps them learn in a way that has lasting power. Most of all, TVC Kids know they are loved by their church family and by God who will always be there for them. Adventure to the Holy Land March 11th, begins the drama section of our worship/arts unit. We will be using short plays to act out a 5 week adventure to the Holy Land. We will explore everyday life, customs & traditions in Bible times, as we study 5 events that lead us to the beautiful celebration of Easter. TVC Kids Art Show / February 2007 Romans 8:17 “And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory.” Pop Art Portrait: We are all children of God. We can change the color of our hair or pattern of our shirt to express ourselves creatively, but each face was created just as God intended. Each face is God’s work of art. PRAISE & SERVE 1 Chronicles 28:8-10 “Worship and serve Him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek Him, you will find Him.” ? Plaster Hands: We use our hands to praise God, whose glory is beyond our imagination. We use our hands to serve God & to serve others as He asks us. LOVE Luke 10:27 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, love your neighbor as yourself.” Large Heart: This community piece brought all the kids together. Each child made a 6x6 marbleized card, which was cut into small pieces. They used the small pieces to create one heart united by love & fun! Small Hearts: Each heart reveals the heart of an individual child. DREAM Colossians 3:1 “You have been raised to life with Christ. Now set your heart on what is in heaven, where Christ rules at God's right side.” Pictures of Heaven: For now we only see these things in dreams. One day our dreams will come true! TVC Kids Share the Love! TVC Kids made 120 Valentine activity bags to share with the kids at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. The bags were full of fun arts/crafts, games, magic markers, stickers, and even a color your own baseball cap & cup. They also included handmade Valentine cards, each with a special message from our TVC kids to the children at Vanderbilt. At the end of the service, parents joined their kids to help fill the bags and pray over our gifts of love. Preparing for the Art Show
